Toothbrush trouble

Good day to everyone! This is RJ here with some random ramblings.

As the topic implies, I'll be talking about a rather unfortunate event that involves me and my toothbrush.

It happened on Sunday morning, around 8.30am (Singapore time). I woke up and went to brush my teeth. Still feeling sick and groggy due to my friend's wedding dinner (beer and food were free so....yeah...you get the picture). Half asleep, i saw my toothbrush lying on the side of the basin. Like a normal human being, i picked up the toothbrush and brushed my teeth. Finishing, i went out to the living room to sag. To my surprise, my parents were debating over toothbrushes.

So being a nosy parker, i went to interrupt them. Both of them turned around and stared at me, asking if i used the toothbrush at the side of the basin. I told them of course i used that toothbrush because its mine.

Now here comes the fun part. My dad gave me a "wtf" look and told me slowly that he used MY toothbrush to SCRUB the basin. Oh the horror! my entire world convulsed. My mom was laughing her ass off. I just went (*o*).....Okay so it took me 5 minutes to collect myself and mentally psycho myself that "its done", "it won't kill you", "might be a blessing in disguise". I asked my dad why the hell did he not throw away the toothbrush after scrubbing the basin. He scratched his head and replied "Whoops, i forgot". Killer retort haha. In my mind i was going "@&^$(@&$(@ i'm gonna f****** scrub the toliet with your toothbrush and put it back at the same place hah! Suck it up old man!" But the threat never did materialize.

So, lesson learnt. Always ask before brushing. You could end up using the exact same thing that was used to clean your toilet.

(The author is currently typing this in the toilet. The stuff on the toothbrush was set to delayed action and thus explains why he had to write this post on monday, in the toilet. 1.5 rolls of toilet paper and still counting...............)

Laws of RANTing:

some ideas that came through my mind so as to make RANTING more Encouraged and less oppressed.

1) NO FLAMING (personal attacks); unless the other party is willing to be flamed; in RANT cafe, everyone can be illogical as where there is order, there is boredom, however this is not academic so try to respect everyone regardless of their intellectual level.

2) EXPRESS YOURSELF; say what you want to say, conveying of your personal emotions are highly encouraged. this is the one place where u can be jolly all the time, emo, or bitch as u see fit. this is where u can be "U." however, pls note that when u address something, it is directed to the entire community of RANT cafe. so u may converse with a specific friend here but other RANTians will have the right to add on to your "RANTing."

3) LEARN FROM OTHERS; the beauty of a community blog is that we can share our experiences and learn from each other. as such, i highly encourage counselling and mentoring of fellow rantians.

4) Membership by referal; anyone can join this blog as long as they have some form of connection to an existing member and is able to respect the basic laws of RANT-cafe.

5) ENJOY RANTING; the most obvious yet often forgotten purpose. RANT on mates!!!

hi,

my name is kenneth and i am currently studying in montreal as RJ has mentioned, we are best friends who have not had the chance to communicate often since i am in the west and he is in the east (thx for covering the details pal).

this blog as the name states is created for people to rant about anything. in a world today where we always need to look professional and act appropriately (especially so for those who are adults or reaching adulthood), we no longer have ways to express ourselves without violating social norms or getting arrested for indecent/improper behavior.

strangely enough, the virtual world of the internet not only connects people but through minor media coverage (the internet is HUGE), people from outrageous disconformity groups have been able to express their views with little to no harrassment or law suits. this however does become a problem once a site or forum becomes too popular, getting many visits daily thus having a decent influence in the world's ideology.

let me say it now. this is not going to be anything of that sort. in fact this is rather a little experiment Rj and I decided to try. should things go well, i'll consider changing the way things work, and perhaps making a bigger network/site. but for now, this serves as once again a "RANTING cafe" for individuals to be who they are or want to be, expressing whatsoever but are not able to do so in their environment due to strict social norms.

An Example of a RANT:
"especially for all of u who live in singapore, sucks to be u :)"

so rant all you want... actually before you do that, it would be polite to introduce yourself and give me a foot massage :o

i wish all you future "RANTers" will be able to rediscover what it is to be human again and break down those communication barriers.

Welcome to Rant-cafe!

Maiden post for Rant-cafe, by yours truly, RJ. We'll skip all the nitty gritty details and jump straight to the point.

This blog is actually a joint effort with my best of friend Kenneth whose currently pursuing his degree in Canada. In time to come, we actually hope to have more people contributing to this blog with their entries/rants/crap/whining/gossips .etc, making Rant-cafe a truly vibrant and exciting blog! (everyone can hope right?)

So for a start, we'll only have two writers, Kenneth and me, bringing you guys stuff from both Canada and Singapore.
